Jordan Henderson is a young midfielder already receiving full England recognition.
He was brought to Anfield in June 2011 having risen through the youth ranks at Sunderland, a club he joined aged seven.
The youngster made his first-team debut for the Black Cats against Chelsea in November 2008 after helping the club to successive U18s league titles.
The second half of his breakthrough season was spent on loan at Championship side Coventry and it wasn’t until 2009-10 that fans at the Stadium of Light really saw what he was capable of. Henderson totalled 38 appearances during the campaign and was crowned Sunderland’s Young Player of the Year.
